The Magnetic Dosing Ring attaches to the portafilter rim during grinding and distribution, keeping grounds contained inside the basket where they belong. Magnetic attachment means it seats and removes in a second. The lightweight aluminium alloy body doesn't add meaningful weight to the workflow.
